GigDaddy

Privacy

This notice explains what GigDaddy stores and what it shows publicly.

We store the email you give us, the gig or provider profile you submit, and a session cookie after you use an email link. Admin sign-in uses a separate cookie. We do not sell personal information.

A gig's street address, exact coordinates, poster name, phone, and email are not shown on the public map or gig page. The public pin is moved about half a mile. City, state, and ZIP are public. The full address and contact details are shown to a provider only after the poster accepts that provider's quote, and the provider's email is shown to the poster at the same time.

If you allow it, the home map uses your browser's location only in your browser to center the map, and we do not store it. If you don't, we ask an IP lookup service (ip-info.com) for a rough city from your IP address to center the map instead, and we do not store or log that IP.

Photos you upload are public on the gig page. We re-encode them and drop camera location data. Do not upload a photo that shows a house number or other exact location.

Provider identity checks use Stripe Identity when it is configured. We store the verification status and a session id. We do not store photos of government IDs. If Stripe is not configured, an admin reviews the profile without collecting an ID image.

License numbers are whatever the provider types. We do not verify them. Email is sent through the mail settings on the server, or printed to the server log when email is not configured. That log behavior is for local development, not production.

Advertising cookies may be set by Google AdSense if an ads client id is configured. Sponsor ads are images and links we host. Contact hello@gigdaddy.app with a privacy question.
